Can you believe the 30 days are up already? I swear, this Fall has been the fastest in history. This time last year, there was a newborn involved… so maybe that’s why it feels faster this time?

Also, now that this is done, I need to think of some new outfit series, because they are my favorite to read on other blogs, and they’re just fun to do. If you have any tips/suggestions/ideas, lay them on me!

Anyway, I digress.

Today, I thought I would recap ALL 30 outfits, just so we can see them one after the other. Plus, it’s shocking how repetitive the outfits are when you see them all together. If you’re not sure what’s up, you can read more here.  But, long story short: I chose 30 items from my closet, and challenged myself to make 30 unique outfits for the next 30 days!

Most Worn Item | I won’t count the bottoms, because they of course were the most worn.  My most used accessory was my cluster pearl necklace! Love that piece! And the most worn piece was my chambray shirt! So versatile! I used that in 8 of the outfits.

Favorite Outfit | Outfit 4 may have been my favorite! It was a “new to me” outfit, and I thought the polkadot top, black knit pants and my black booties went together so well! I also loved Outfit 13, the chambray shirt paired with my orange cardigan. I’ve done variations of a theme with that since.

Least Favorite Outfit | I mentioned this throughout the challenge – I didn’t have any outfits I disliked! I had a few pieces, though, that just didn’t jive for me, like the full floral skirt. Maybe full skirts aren’t my thing for my body shape?

The Challenge Surprise | Can I confess something? I’ve added the cobalt blue dress pants to my donate pile. I know! Shocking! They are pretty cute. I love the color! But dress pants (and cropped ones at that) are just not practical for my every day life now. If I want to get dressed up, I’d prefer to wear a dress. If I was working out of the home, I’d keep them. No brainer. This is why I included them in the challenge – just to see if they would fit in my current lifestyle. And they don’t.

Things I Learned This Time Around | This challenge, compared to the summer version, really showed me what I gravitate towards in my wardrobe. I tend to pick color or pattern for tops, and then darker/solid bottoms. And I love jackets and cardigans. I already mentioned my discovery that dress pants just don’t fit in my current life. And knit pants are amazing.

If you’re wanting to do something similar, whether it’s on your blog or just for fun on your own, let me share a few tips:

1. When it comes to picking the 30 items, pick one or two items you haven’t worn in a long time, just to make sure you still like it! That way you can get it back into regular rotation if you love it (like my boxy polka dot top) or you know to donate and say good bye (like my cobalt blue dress pants).

2. Be smart about your 30 items. I really shouldn’t have included outerwear in my 30. And I also included WAY too many dressy items. I did this because I needed things for church every week. But choosing 3 dresses that are basically an outfit on their own limited my outfit options with my casual outfits. I could have done 10 different “dressy” outfits easily! But that’s not real life here. Maybe I should do “30 days of Work Outfits”? I have plenty of material for that still!

3. Accessories were also tricky to include in the 30 count. I included too many! I only really used one scarf out of the three. And I forget to wear watches regularly, so I forgot to add them to outfits. I guess what I’m saying is I could have snuck in an extra shirt instead of a scarf.

4. Whether you plan to blog your own challenge or not, when you’re picking out your 30 items, do a little outfit pre-planning. Lay the items out on the floor and snap pictures of outfit ideas. And then, if you’re blogging the outfits, try to actually track how many outfits you have and plan which outfits are for which days. I got so confused at the end of what I had or had not worn because I didn’t pre-plan outfits.

5. Finally, if you’re taking pictures of the outfits, try to take multiple OOTD pictures in a day! It’s handy.

So bottom line – pre-plan before you start your 30 days, and be smarter about your 30 item choices.

And now, without further ado, the 30 outfits!

Yay! The last 6 outfits! It’s always a bitter sweet feeling when I finish these up. I’m happy it’s over, because these challenges are a lot of work AND I’m itching to wear other stuff. And, let’s be honest – I started running out of ideas. But it’s such a satisfying feeling to know you’ve found new and fun outfits out of clothes you just pulled from your closet.

But anyway, here are Days 25-30! If you’re not sure what’s up, you can read more here.  But, long story short: I chose 30 items from my closet, and challenged myself to make 30 unique outfits for the next 30 days!

Here are my thoughts from this week’s outfits.

Most Worn Item | It looks like it was my cluster pearl necklace. I love this necklace! So versatile and easy to wear. If a necklace can be easy to wear….

Favorite Outfit | Sigh… several! So hard to pick one. But love the look of Day 3 & 4. They are comfy outfits! But look put together.

Least Favorite Outfit | Day 2 is a good outfit! But not loving it, on me, in picture form. I have a short waist, so tucked in shirts look funny on me. Pair a tucked in shirt with a full volume skirt, and I look a little off balance. But can we talk about those shoes???

This Week’s Surprise | In the Fall, it seems that I gravitate towards outfits that have a topper to them, like a cardigan or jacket. Every outfit, except one, includes that. Huh!

Hardest Thing About This Week | I should have pre-planned out outfits better. I had a hard time picking outfits that weren’t already done. Next time, I need to just map out options ahead of time.

Anywho, let’s recap the outfits! But don’t forget to stop by Tuesday for a recap of the entire 30 days, plus lessons learned and tips if you want to do this yourself.

So, clearly I replaced my wireless shutter release remote! Woohoo! I’m sorry this is almost one whole week late, but better late than never!

Here are Days 19-24! If you’re not sure what’s up, you can read more here.  But, long story short: I chose 30 items from my closet, and challenged myself to make 30 unique outfits for the next 30 days!

Here are my thoughts from this week’s outfits.

Most Worn Item | If I don’t count my skinny jeans, then it’s my favorite brown booties (similar)! Those shoes are just so stinking cute.

Favorite Outfit | Day 5 just made me smile when I put it on. I posted a picture on Instagram of posing with and without the blazer, and it really was 2 separate outfits. Love it!

Least Favorite Outfit | I didn’t really dislike any outfits. But Day 3 was just… boring and easy. I’ll definitely re-wear that outfit, but seeing it amongst the other outfits, it just doesn’t look great.

This Week’s Surprise | Chambray really CAN go with just about any outfit. (But is that really a surprise?)

Hardest Thing About This Week | The logistics this week were tricky, obviously. When your baby crawls away with your wireless remote, it makes it hard to take outfit pics 🙂

Anywho, let’s recap the outfits!

Holy cow! How do these weeks go by so fast?? Another 6 outfits down! If you’re not sure what’s up, you can read more here.  But, long story short: I chose 30 items from my closet, and challenged myself to make 30 unique outfits for the next 30 days!

You can clearly see by the below outfits that I got a little lazy 🙂 I was definitely repeating stuff over and over!

Here are my thoughts from this week’s outfits.

Most Worn Item | A tie this week! I wore my skinny Rockstar jeans from Old Navy and my brown wedges from Kelly & Katie in 5 of the 6 outfits. Ha! But I love those shoes! They are pretty comfy, and they go with everything!

Favorite Outfit | I like each outfit for different reasons! But a new-to-me outfit that made me happy was Day 1. Loved the chambray with the pearls! Adding the orange cardigan was a nice addition.

Least Favorite Outfit | Day 2…. I don’t dislike it, but I don’t like it on me. Maybe with a different skirt? But love the idea of a chambray shirt and a full floral skirt! I just think I need to hunt for a good skirt that fits me better.

This Week’s Surprise | I love how easily that cluster pearl necklace dresses up even the most casual outfit. It’s like the blazer of the accessories world!

Hardest Thing About This Week | Getting creative! I know I’m coming up to needing to put some creative outfits together… if you have ideas, pop them down below!

Anywho, let’s recap the outfits!

Hey Hey! It’s Friday!

Another week, another Friday! Mercy me!

Onward!

1. This week flew by! I’m still recovering from the party last week, but at least the house is back to normal!

2. I still can’t believe I have a One Year Old! And I feel like this week Elizabeth has been doing silly, new things! For example, I was down on the floor wiping up the schmuk under her high chair (sigh… my least favorite task). I looked over at Elizabeth, and she had grabbed a section of the paper towel and was wiping the floor too! Adorable! So naturally I had to go to the Dollar Store to buy some things for her very own cleaning kit! (Train ’em young!)

Cleaning up at Cup of Tea

3. It’s finally feeling a little cooler consistently around here! I managed to squeeze in a few walks in the afternoons! Joy!

4. There’s nothing wrong with wearing a dark, berry lip just around the house, right? Is that too much? I hope not, because I’m doing it. I’ve mentioned over and over again that I love the Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in #127. You can see me wearing it MANY times in my recent 30 Outfits in 30 Days post. (Yikes! That was a lot of links!)

5. And then, yay! Remember the giveaway with Tif from Bright on a Budget and Della from Della Devoted? Did you enter? Well we have a winner! Click here to see if you’ve won! If you are the lucky winner,  email me at ktcupoftea(at)gmail.com and I’ll hook you up! Thanks for participating! It was such fun!!!!
